Absolute Batman #17 begins “The Seventh Kingdom” storyline and features the Absolute Universe version of Poison Ivy entering the series in a major way.
The issue continues Scott Snyder’s increasingly dark reimagining of Gotham City and expands the Absolute Batman mythology through Pamela Isley and the Ark-M storyline.
THE COVER:
Eric Canete’s variant is one of the most visually distinctive covers for the issue, using a stark white background against the heavy black silhouette of Absolute Batman as a grotesque, floral Poison Ivy form erupts from the composition.
The large open white area also gives Scott Snyder’s signature excellent visibility, making this copy especially strong as a display piece.
